On June 11th, 2026, a delegation consisting of Turkish companies and businesses from the Istanbul area, known for its industrial development and its role in international trade, will visit Montreal for the first time.
This mission marks the first official visit of the Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association (İDDMİB) to Canada, Montreal, organized by the IDDMIB representing a network of over 8,000 member companies, a key player in the development of the metals industry serving construction sector and beyond.
Türkiye represents one of the most dynamic industrial economies serving construction sectors across the world, with a well-established manufacturing base, strong export capacity, and proven experience in international markets. The subsectors represented in this international trade delegation, particularly construction, scaffolding, and industrial manufacturing, are recognized for their quality standards, flexibility, and competitive production capabilities.
Building on the growing economic ties between Canada and Türkiye, this mission aims to foster mutually beneficial partnerships, enabling companies to explore new sourcing opportunities, exchange expertise, and develop long-term collaboration in both markets.
